Overview

With more than two decades of industry experience, I have been involved in the sales, design, research, and development of emerging technologies, AI / Machine Learning / Deep Learning, 3D real-time graphics software, human-computer interaction technologies, holograms and stereoscopy, photogrammetry, virtual reality, augmented reality solutions, and 3D visualizations and production.

Furthermore, I am a serial entrepreneur with a successful track record of 20+ years. I have founded and managed profitable small businesses, consistently innovating new products and solutions. I have organized, designed, implemented, and sold a comprehensive suite of services and solutions for real estate, automotive and other industries that is based on gaming tech, real-time, and offline engines to serve experiential marketing use cases, and AI and machine learning.

Real-time 3D

I have led the sales and development of an industrial visualization engine using Unity3D, implementing customizations and advanced features such as a custom timeline, build, lighting, and material systems. This engine was integrated and automated with PiXYZ, as featured in the Unity Autoliv Case Study.

I have recently worked on implementing a sophisticated virtual world/metaverse that combines technologies such as Generative AI and Blockchain/NFTs. It simultaneously leverages text, images, and video generation based on a single query text/prompt.

Additionally, I have developed Vertex Technologies’ 3D real-time engine, specifically for the real estate and automotive industries. I optimized this engine to render near-photorealistic quality for dense scenes with high poly objects. Furthermore, I have successfully integrated this engine with various immersive and HCI devices, including multi-touch tables and auto-stereoscopic displays. I have also designed and implemented a versatile 3D production pipeline for both real-time and offline use cases. I have conceptualized and sold many innovative applications and solutions leveraging this engine along with its integrations with the above 3rd-part technologies for many corporates and organizations.

My hands-on experience with AI includes Knowledge Graphs, AI Agents, Retrieval-augmented-generation (RAG), and a variety of Large Language Models, LLMs, Large Multi-Modal Models (LMMS), and Diffusion Models/ Stable Diffusion. I built sales pipelines from zero to $4.5 million in 12 months while cultivating strong partnerships with over 40 leading marketing and advertising agencies. I collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver immersive experiences, engaging customers through interactive technologies like multi-touch tables, 3D displays, and virtual reality CAVEs. At minimum, I have personally tinkered, designed, developed, installed, sold, or integrated immersive technologies such as multi-touch tables, interactive floors and windows, auto-stereoscopic displays (3D displays that require no glasses), virtual reality 3D CAVEs (interactive immersive spaces), augmented reality software, and audiovisual technologies, to name a few, into an experiential campaign or a marketing event. The new concept is based on the engagement of the expo visitors using AR 3D printed model tags. Led a large team of developers and designers across different companies and cities. Led the experimentation, the design and development processes. Served as the architect and the technical lead of the project. We added many more high-poly Autoliv’s products. Led further optimization of the apps, UI, content and meshes. Designed and supervised the design of a new UX/UI for the 3D app and a new UX/UI for the AR app to enable the interactions of large number of users at the same time. Used different AR detection methods to enable the detection of a real size car, augmenting it with products models and other relevant information, and interacting and manipulating it.    Animators started to get comfortable with Unity animation system, however, they kept asking for animation features like those found in high-end 3D software. I designed and led the development of several features for animators by customizing Unity’s Timeline, state machine systems and other features. Led the development of custom tracks for large number of Unity store assets and effects. Developed several Timeline features like conditionals and loops to turn Unity’s Timeline into a system programmable by the artist. Developed runtime tracks splitters and custom playback behaviors based on user input and general app state. My architectural plan detailed a progressive approach, beginning with a baseline semantic search using a standard RAG pipeline and incrementally enhancing it by integrating a Knowledge Graph (KG). This culminated in an advanced, KG-guided RAG system capable of not only improving insight discovery accuracy by over 10% but also dynamically extracting new ontologies from conversations. The final stage of the roadmap outlined the development of an explainable recommendation engine, leveraging the KG to overcome data sparsity and cold-start challenges.

Our approach enabled the handling of the CanLII voluminous data set of PDFs in a way that results in optimal outcomes using innovative approaches when optimize the search results for high precision and recall when working with, specifically in PDF form? Our approach surpasses the performance of typical RAG systems by building a knowledge graph that guides the retrieval process of relevant data prior to submitting it to the LLM.
